Character Creation Business #6: Boot Hill 3rd Edition

TSR’s “Boot Hill” is their take on the “Western” genre. I'm using their 3rd Edition. They are five Attributes in Boot Hill:  Strength, Coordination, Observation, Stature & Luck.  To find that, I need to roll 2d10 get numbers as well as modifiers for each business.

  • Strength’s Roll: 8. Strength’s Modifier’s Roll: 15 = +1. Strength’s Total: 9.

  • Coordination’s Roll: 12. Coordination’s Modifier’s Roll: 19 = +0. Coordination’s Total: 12

  • Observation’s Roll: 12. Observation’s Modifier’s Roll: 15 = +1. Observation’s Totall: 13

  • Stature’s Roll: 17. Stature’s Modifier’s Roll’s: 10 = +3. Stature’s Division Time: 19/2 = 9.5. That’s 10.

  • Luck’s Roll: 5. Luck’s Modifier’s Roll: 13 = +2. Luck’s Divison Time: 7/2 = 3.5. That’s 4.

How many skills do my PC get? I have to add up the attributes to find the number of skill I get for my PC.

9 + 12 = 21 + 13 = 34 + 10 = 44 + 4 = 48. 48 is my total. 8 is the number I skill I can grab for my PC. I will ask Mythic which ones my PC will have

Question #1: Accounting? My View: 50/50. Mythic View:41. Yes.

Question #2: Artillerist? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 74. No.

Question #5: Bureaucracy? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 93. Exceptional No. Carpentry is not one of the PC skills as well.

Question #6: Chemistry? My view: 50/50. Mythic View: 35. Yes.

Question #7: Civil Engineering? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 58. No.

Question #8: Cooking? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 4. Exceptional Yes. Cow Handling is grabbed as well.

Question #9: Dentistry? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 15. Yes.

Question #10: Entertainer? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 59. No.

Question #11: Explosives? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 47. Yes. Skills are done...and I figured out that my PC is right hand.

For my character name, I’m going with Flint Stone. (Dr. Thinker dodges a flying cow from a person who hates puns.)

For Flint’s appearance: Flint is a tall African-American man with black hair and blue eyes usually dress in a white cowboy hat, blue shirt, brown vest, a black leather belt with a golden buckle, blue jeans, a pair of white socks, and a pair of green snake-skin boots.

..And I did the impossible! I did 6 characters today for 6 different RPGs!

Character Creation Business #5: Big Eyes, Small Mouth 4th Edition

“Big Eyes, Small Eyes” or “BSEM” is a tabletop game that tabletop gamers could play in any genre that had pop up in anime. I will use the latest version, 4th Edition for this one,. To ask mythic about the character

Question #1: Cyberpunk? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 56.

Question #2: Fantasy? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 59. No.

Question #3: Fighting Series? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 64. No.

Question #7: Mystery? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 4. Exceptional Yes. Our PC is Hikaru Mushina or Mushina Hikaru if you go the way Japanese do their names. I will be sticking with the name way for the names.

For Hikaru’s appearance, I’m going with the following: Hikaru Mushina is a tall woman with blue hair and blue eye usually dressed in a red dress and red high-heel shoes.

Question #8: Is the PC’s level of his series Sub-Human? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 71. No.

Question #9: Human? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 64. No.

Question #10: Adventurer? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 32.

Question #11: 74 Points for stats and abilities? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 43. Yes.

Question #12: Is our character a plain human? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 29. Yes.

Question #13: is our character one of the classes in the rulebook? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 58. No.

In Tri-Stats systems like “BSEM”, they are stats: Body (strength), Mind (smarts), & Soul (willpower)

For easy, going with 4 for each of my stats. Each of my grabs of 4 needs 8 character points. 8 * 3 = 24. 74 - 24 = 50 points leftover for Attributes, which is the following -- complete with the math business in brackets:

  • Combat Technique - Level #1 [50 - 1 = 49]

  • Connected - Level #2 [ 49 - 1 = 48]

  • Inspire - Level #1 [48 - 1 = 47]

  • Jumping - Level #1 [47 - 1 = 46]

  • Mimic - Level #3 [46 - 6  = 40]

  • Mind Shield  - Level #2  [40 - 2 = 38]

  • Detective Skill Group - Level #2 [38 - 6 = 32]

  • Street Skill Group - Level #1 [32 - 2 = 30]

  • Academic Skill Group - Level #2 [30 - 2 = 28]

  • Artistic Skill Group - Level #4 [28 - 4 = 24]

  • Social Skill Group - Level #2 [24 - 4 = 20]

  • Superstrength - Level #2 [20 - 8 = 12]

Ok. I done with Attributes, and now’s time to deal with Defects for Hikaru. The math business is still bracketed like in the Attribute above.

  • Hounded - Level #1 [12 + 2 = 14]

  • Magnet - Level #1 [14 + 1 = 15]

..And those defects done, I can move on to the final touches.

Combat Value is the following math problem:

Combat Value = (Body+Mind+Soul)/3.

Let’s plug Hikaru’s numbers in.

CV = 4+4+4/3 = 4. Hikaru’s Combat Value is 4.

Health Points is another math problem such as the following:

HP = (Body+Soul)*5. We know that 4 + 4 = 8. 8 * 5 = 40. Hikaru’s Health Points is 40.

Energy Points is like the Health Point business but Body switch for Mind. Since Hikaru’s stats all 4, that means Hikaru’s Energy Points is 40 as well.

The final business is Damage Multiplier, which is 5 for Hikaru. And finally done with Hikaru.

=FULL STATS:

Character Creation Business #4: Basic Action Super Heroes

“Basic Action Super Heroes” a.k.a “B.A.S.H.”, is one of the many possibles tabletop games that tabletop game players can use to play superheroes.

Step #1 is to find out the total of stats. That will be done with “Mythic”.

Question #1: Mystery Men? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 82. No.

Question #2: Street Level? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 92. Exceptional No. The level of my hero is World Class and I get 200 Character Points. Half for it for my PC’s stats while the other half will be my PC’s powers.

Now, a stat of 0 is free. Stats cost 2 Character Points.

Brawn: 5 * 2 = 10. 200 - 10 = 190

Mind: 5 * 2 = 10. 190 - 10 = 180

Agility: 2 * 2 = 4. 180 - 4 = 176.

Question #2: Does my hero have a weakness? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 69. No. So that means my heroes have no weakness.

The following are the power I took for my hero with the math business in brackets.

  • Flight 5 [176 - 5 = 171]

  • Super Speed 5 [171 - 5 = 166]

The following are the skills I take for my heroes.

Physical Skills: Acting, Singing, Swimming, Play Instrument, & Acrobatics

Mental Skills: Legends, History, Questioning, Piloting & Tracking

I’m going with a mermaid. So, Advantage of Appeal would look good for my mermaid hero’s advantage. For the mermaid’s Disadvantage, I’m going with Public ID.

I have put the rest of the 166 Character Points as Hero Points. And for the final business, get a Metal Malfunction. I think I go with “To avoid being bored” for Metal Malfunction.

As for Hydra’s appearance, I’m going with the following: Hydra is a green-skin mermaid with pink hair, natural yellow eyes, and a black mermaid tail usually dressed in a yellow toga.

Character Creation Business #1: 17th Century Minimalist

I well with RPG.Net business with it’s January Character Creation character, I decided to join them -- but I’m am 6 days later than the start then actual start which was January 1, 2020. But I also notice that sometime in 2021, I would lose my Google Drive if I didn’t add stuff to it - so I decide to use the Character Creation files to keep my Google Drive business.

Our first one is 17th Century Minimalist, a minimalist tabletop RPG that the PC adventuring the 17th century.

Our first step for a PC here is roll 3d4 for the following six ability: Charisma,

Dexterity, Strength, Intelligence, and Luck.

  • Charisma’s Roll: 6

  • Dexterity’s Roll: 7

  • Strength’s Roll: 5

  • Intelligence’s Roll: 5

  • Luck’s Roll: 9

Step #2 is to find which one of my PC’s abilities are at 5 or less and re-roll them as 1d4+12. My PC has two abilities at 5 -- Strength and Intelligence...so they get the re-rolls:

  • Strength’s Re-Roll: 13

  • Intelligence’s Re-Roll: 14.

If I didn’t have anything over 10, I need to start from the first step, but since know I have two abilities that are 10, I can plug the numbers in and move on to the next step.

For deciding which class my character is going to be, I’m going with asking Word Hill’s “Mythic Game Master Emulator”.

Question #1: Cutthroat (Rouge in D&D talk)? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 41. Yes. That works for me.

The Cutthroat gets a max hit point of 8. I roll for a normal six-sided dice or 1d6 in RPG talk for the background. The Dice Roll is the following: 6 = Street Pocket. I going with Penny as the name of the PC.

Penny starts with the following: a black disguise, a dagger, blowgun with 8 darts (I have a roll a d8 or an eight-sided dice for this one.
