C.C.C. 2026 - Character #12 = "Karren Von Brimstone" ("Meddling Kids")

Last year, I did three Meddling Kids characters - a Jock, a Brain, and a Wild Card. So, what is the character archetype for this year?

Question #2: The Goof? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 94. Exceptional No.

Question #2: The Goof? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 94. Exceptional No.

The next business is to put a portion of the number known as 24 into each of the following four Stats for this TTRPG, which are the following: Strength, Moves, Smarts, & Health. The following business shows my plan for my Temper member of the Cliche (the term for the group of PCS from this TTRPG) -- no questions asked, no answers given:

  • Strength: 2
  • Moves: 6
  • Smarts: 6
  • Health: 10

It's time for me to use the 26 points to get Abilities for my character -- no questions asked, no answers given. The following business contains what I decided on Abilities for my character, with the math business in parentheses as usual:

  • Animal Friend (26-3=23)
  • Connected (23-1=22)
  • Disguise (22-4=18)
  • Intimidate (18-7=11)
  • & Monster Mind (11-6=5)

For name, I'm going with the following: Karren Von Brimstone.

For Karren Von Brimstone's appearance, I'm going with the following: "When not disguised as someone or something else, Karren Von Brimstone is a teenage girl with platinum blonde hair and blue eyes, usually wearing a black pearl necklace, a yellow blouse, a black leather jacket, blue jeans, a pair of yellow socks and a pair of black high-heeled shoes."

For background: "In public scenes, Karren puts on an appearance of being the most snobbish rich girl in the world. Out of the public scene, she feels like she's the most useless human on the face of the Earth. From time to time, Karren loves to dress up as ghosts and monsters. Her dad and mom are the President and Vice President, respectively, of Brimstone Transportation Inc., a car-making company."

Character Creation Challenge 2022: #18 = "Meddling Kids"

Our next tabletop game is a Repeat from last year, “Meddling Kids”. In this game, you play as a group of meddling kids similar to Mystery Inc. from the “Scooby-Doo” cartoon. Last year, I created a Brain called Cassie Cave for this game.

Step #1 is finding the PC’s Archetype.

Question #1: Is the PC’s Archetype the following: The Jock? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 31. Yes. Works for me.

Step #2 is getting the four Stats for my PC. The four Stats in this game are the following: Strength, Moves, Smarts, and Health. I have 24 points -- but I can’t put any more than 10 in any of the Stats. I’m going to start with 4 in Smarts. 24-4=20. Next, I’m going to put 2 in Moves. 20-2=18.  Now, it’s time to put a 9 in Health. 18-9=9. I put the leftover 9 in Strength.

Step #3 is buying Abilities (which would be skills in other RPGs.). I got 26 points for my PC’s abilities. The following is what I brought for Billy Brick with the math business in brackets as usual:

  • Sporty (Freebie for being the jock)

  • Bottom Stomach (26-1-25)

  • Bug Free (25-2=23)

  • Good Eats (23-2=21)

  • Gross-Out (21-1-20)

  • Hard Headed (20-5=15)

  • Immovable (15=5=10)

  • Leadership (10-5=5)

  • Nosy (5-2=3)....

Step #4 is appearance. I’m going with the following: “Brick Brick is a tall male teenager with brown hair and green eyes usually dressed in a red tank-top, blue jeans, a pair of red socks, and a pair of blue and red sneakers.”

...And I'm done with Billy Brick, below this paragraph is Billy Brick’s full stats.

=MK=

Want to play a “Scooby-Doo”-styled campaign and missing “Cartoon Action Hour”? Well, the tabletop game know as “Meddling Kids” can be used as a replacement as allows players to play mystery-solving kids

Yes. I’m going with Cassie as the name. Question #8: Does Cassie’s last name also start with C as well? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 5. Exceptional Yes. Her last name is Cave.

Step #3 is doing Stats. They are four stats in the  “Meddling Kids” RPG: Strength, Moves, Smarts & Health. You get 24 points -- and no stats can higher than 10. I start with 4 in Strength 24 - 4 = 20. For Smarts, I use 10. 20 - 10 = 10. Then I split the 10 into two 5 for the rest.

Step #4 is Abilities. You get 26 to buy abilities, but you also get a freebie for your Archetype you picked. The following is the ability plus the math business in the brackets as usual:

  • Bookworm (Freebie for being the Clique a.k.a the PC’s team’s Brain):

  • Fearless (18 - 6 = 12)

  • Geek (12 - 4 = 8)

  • Good Eats (8 - 2 = 6)

Now, Step #5 is Appearance. For Cassie, I’m going with the following: “Cassie Cave is a teenage girl with red hair and green eye usually dressed in a pink turtleneck sweater, blue jeans, a pair of pink socks, and a pair of blue sneakers.”

Thursday, August 16, 2012

Sorry.....

....Still no ideas for August. September is next and and it might be a mystery using "Cartoon Action Hour" or "Meddling Kids". If it's "Cartoon Action Hour", it would feature
"Betty and Co", my gender-switch version of Scooby-Doo. If it's "Meddling Kids", it's going to a new "Waterfall" mystery.  I making no promises on either yet though I have recovered from the "CC&VF" headache and at least I got my six of my Pokemon to LV 100, I still on my Pokemon kick.

I am thinking starting a Mythic Game Emulator/Cartoon Action Hour/Pokemon thread over in the Actual Play over at RPG.Net. It will take play in an fictional region with all Pokemon from Gen One (Blue, Green, Red, & Yellow) though Gen Five (Black, White, Black 2 and White 2) exists.

Anyway, again -- I am making no promises on anything.
