C.C.C. 2026 - Chaacter #27 = Princess Coral ("Open Legends" - Round 2)

 Time for a genre hunt.

Question #1: Genre = "Western" (The Lone Ranger)? My View: 50/50. M.G.M.E.’s View: 65. No

Question #2: Genre = "Cyberpunk"? My View: 50/50. M.G.M.E.’s View: 6. Exceptional Yes.

Name = Princess Coral

Race = Mermaid

Size = Medium

For the two Physical Traits, I'm going with the following: bright purple eyes and a long black mermaid tail.

For the two social traits, I'm going with the following: raspy voice & ruthless in combat.

Secret = Originally, Princess Carol was Cassandra Crystal, a ruthless agent for a megacorp until the CEO of it got angered at Cassandra's rejection of a huge order that would cause a lot of death -- so the CEO had its scientists turn her into a mermaid and toss her into the sea afterward.

The fictional Game Master for this campaign for this TTRPG gives me 3 d100s to roll for each of the Attributes I want for my character -- no questions asked, no answers given. The following business is a list of the Attribute and their number I got from the 3 d100s -- no questions asked, answers given:

  • Agility = 195
  • Fortitude = 147
  • Might = 131
  • Learning = 125
  • Logic = 180
  • Perception = 126
  • Will = 154
  • Deception = 164
  • Persuasion = 186
  • & Presence = 186

The dice related to those numbers above are on the character sheet -- no questions asked, no answers given.

Toughness = 10 + 147 + 154 = 311

Guard = 10 + 195 + 131 = 336

Resolve = 10 + 186 + 154 = 350

Time to find out the Hit Points for my character -- no questions asked, no answers given:

147+186+154=487
487*2=974
974+10=984

Since my character is a mermaid, the fictional Game tells me to put a speed of 10 on my character sheet - no questions asked, no answers given.

The fictional Game Master allows me to pick any Feats I want -- no questions asked, no answers given -- and I'm going with the following: No questions asked, no answers given:

  • Battle Trance
  • Battlefield Opportunist - Tier 5
  • Battlefield Punisher
  • Break Fall - Tier 2
  • Brutal Intimation
  • Crushing Blow
  • Death Blow
  • Diehard
  • Fast Draw
  • Fast Tracker
  • Impervious Trance
  • Lighting Reflexes - Tier 5
  • Swimming
  •  Untrackable
  •  Vicious Strike
  •  Well-Rounded

The fictional Game Master tells us that we will be starting the campaign of this TTRPG at an ancient weapon cache of a long-dead gangster -- so we have been skipping the equipment step of the rulebook for the TTRPG.

The fictional Game Master tells me to take the usual two Perks and two Flaws for Princess Coral -- no questions asked, no answers given. For the Perks, I'm going with the following two: Brute & Courageous. For the Flaws, I'm going with the following: Bloodlust & Compulsion (slamming the mermaid tail down.)

C.C.C. #2026 - Character #14 = Nina "Eris" Keith ("Open Legends")

For this TTRPG, the first business is to find the genre, starting from the gene after the one I used for the previous character for the previous TTRPG -- no questions asked, no answers given.

Question #1: Genre = Gaming Anime? My View: 50/50. M.G.M.E.’s View: 38. Yes. Works for me.

I'm going with Nina “Eris” Keith as the name of my character for this TTRPG.

Race for my character is Human.

Size is going to Medium for Eris -- no questions asked, no answers given.

The two physical traits for Eris are the following:

  • Natural pink hair
  • & Serious rough hands

The two Social traits are the following:

  • Talks too much
  • & Stomps around too much

For Eris's secret, I'm going with the following: "She was Diana Cord, one of the famous thieves in the world, until she got hit by anemisa ray by one of her rivals, Lydia Danvers."

The following are the Attributes that the fictional Game Master is using for his campaign of this TTRPG -- no questions asked, no answers given: Agility, Fortitude, Might, Learning, Logic, Perception, Will, Deception, Persuasion & Presence. He gives me the following numbers: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 & 90.

The following is how I put the numbers for the Attributes for my character -- no questions asked, no answers given:

  •  Agility: 20
  •  Fortitude: 90
  • Might: 10
  • Learning: 30
  • Logic: 40
  • Perception: 50
  • Will: 90
  • Deception: 60
  • Persuasion: 80
  • & Presence: 70

The Game Master tells me that the number of d10 I roll for each Attribute is the first number of the Attribute number -- no questions asked, no answers given. The dice numbers in the brackets next to the numbers in the Attributes on the character sheet -- no questions asked, no answers given.

Toughness = 10 + 90 (Fortitude) = 100 + 90 (Will) = 190. Wow!

Guard = 10 + 20 (Agility) = 30 + 10 (Might) = 40 + 0 (Armor) = 40.

Resolve = 10 + 70 (Presence) = 80 + 90 (Will) = 170. Wow!

Hit Points = 2 x (Fortitude + Presence + Will) + 10. 90 (Fortitude) + 70 (Presence) = 160 + 90 (Will) = 250 * 2 = 500 + 10 = 510. WOW!

Speed for Eris is 30 -- no questions asked, no answers given.

For Feats, I'm picking up the following for Eris -- no questions asked, no answers given:

  • Battle Trace
  • Climbing
  • & Swimming

For the fictional Game Master's campaign, there is going to be a period where the PCs buy weapons before the game begins in a place akin to the Game Domes of the Dream Park novels -- so I don't need to worry bout equipment for Eris -- no questions asked, no answers given.

The next business is picking up to two Perks and two Flaws. For the two Perks, I'm going with the following: Attractive & Lucky. For the two Flaws, I'm going with the following: Greedy & Phobia (Knowing her past).

Character Creation Challenge 2023: #16 = “Open Legends”

Open Legends is a tabletop roleplaying with its core book being free on the web. The proof is the following link: https://openlegendrpg.com/

In 2021, I did a fantasy character. In 2022, I did a cyberpunk. In going to do a modern-day character for this game. First, I need a job for my character that can get him or her into action. Question #1: Actress/Actor? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 12. Yes. Works for me. Question #2: Female? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 9. Outrageous Yes.

Step #1 is the name of the PC. I think I’m going with the following: Aelita Grindstone.

Step #2 is the race of the PC. I going with the boring human business here.

Step #3 is two exceptional physical traits. I’m going with the following: “Scar on her neck” and “a large wart on her back.”

Step #4 is two defining social traits. I’m going with the following: “Likes to threaten lawsuits at anyone” & “like elevator music.”

Step #5 is a secret. The secret is the following: “Comes from a parallel universe that was destroyed.”

Step #6 is the abilities business. The following are the 18 abilities in this game -- though the abilities in bold are for magic or superpowers: Agility, Fortitude, Might, Learning, Logic, Perception, Will, Deception, Persuasion, Presence, Alteration, Creation, Energy, Entropy, Influence, Movement, Prescience, and Protection.

Well, I going with using the following numbers in Jack of All Trades for my PC: 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 2, 2, 2, 1.  I will start by putting some of the 3s in the mental business with the following: Learning, Logic, Perception, and Willpower. That leaves on 3 that I will put in Fortitude. I put one of the 2 in the Agility. I put another 2 in Deception. Then I put the leftover 2 in Persuasion. I put the 1 leftover in Presence.

Step #6 is to find Toughness. The following is the math problem to do so: Toughness = 10 + Fortitude + Will. 10 + 3 + 3 = 16.

Step #7 is to find Guard. That is the following math problem: Guard = 10 + Agility + Might + Armor. 10 + 2 + 0 + 0 = 12.

Step #8 is to find Resolve. That is the following math problem:  10 + Presence + Will. 10 + 1 + 3 = 14.

Step #9 is to find Hit Points. That is the following math problem: 2 x (Fortitude + Presence + Will) + 10. 2x(3+1+3)+10= HP. 2x7+10= 24.

Step #10 is to use 6 points to buy Feats. I’m going with the following: Climbing (1 point), Swimming (1 point),  & Wealthy (3 points). I have 1 point left over, but I have no ideas for Feats to buy.

Step #11 is to get equipment. I assume that my character has the usual weapons that a rich actress can buy.

Step #12 is to pick perks and flaws. I can pick up two perks and two flaws -- but I don’t have to -- if I don’t want to. I going with Attractive for Aeltia’s only perk & Addiction (root beer) for Aelita’s only flaw.

...And I think I am finished with Aelita. Below this paragraph is full stats of Aelita.

Character Creation Challenge 2022: #21 = "Open Legends"

We are still in Repeatville business from last year as I am going to be doing another “Open Legend”. “Open Legend” is a strange RPG as they have their core rules on their webpage. The following link is the proof of that: https://openlegendrpg.com/

Step #1 is to find out what the genre of the fictional campaign that the fictional Game Master is going to be.

Question #1: Is the genre of the game the following: “Cyberpunk”? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 19. Yes.

Step #2 is a Name. I’m going with Jazz.

Step #3 is a Race. I’m going with a human.

Step #4 is Size. I’m going with Medium.

Step #5 is coming up with the Two exceptional physical traits for Jazz. Jazz has a purple mohawk and a cybernetic arm for a left hand.

Step #6 is coming up with two exceptional social traits for Jazz. I’m going with the following: “Sounds like a female from a 1980’s cartoon” & “Loves soda.”

Step #7 is a Secret for Jazz. I’m going with the following: “Actual citizen of Altantis who time-traveled to the present period.”

Step #8 is to deal with Attributes. The 18 Attributes are decided up in the following four categories:

  •  Physical Attributes: Agility, Fortitude, & Might

  •  Mental Attributes: Learning, Logic, Perception, & Will

  •  Social Attributes: Deception, Persuasion, & Presence.

  •  Extraordinary Attributes: Alteration, Creation, Energy, Entropy, Influence, Movement, Prescience, & Protection

Step #4 is choosing a way to do my Character.

Question #2: Do I go with the Quick Build? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 37. Yes.

Question #3: Which Quick Build should I take for Jazz? Specialized Hero? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 14. Yes. That gives me the following numbers to plug into the Attributes I choose for my PC: 5, 4, 3, 2, 2 & 2.

Step #5 is putting the numbers into my Character’s Attributes. The following is what I did for my PC:

  •  Give her a Fortitude of 5

  •  Give her a Might of 4

  •  Give her an Agility of 3

  •  Give her a Will of 2

  • Give her a Perception of 2.

Step #6 is finding Toughness. Toughness is the following math problem:

10 + Fortitude + Will = Toughness. Let’s plug in Jazz’s numbers.

10 + 5 + 2 = 17. 17 is Jazz’s Toughness.

Step #7 is finding Guard. Guard is the following math problem:

10 + Agility + Might + Armor = Guard. Let’s plug in Jazz’s number.

10 + 3 + 4 + 0 = 17. 17 is Jazz’s Guard.

Step #8 is finding Resolve. Resolve is the following math problem:

10 + Presence + Will = Resolve. Let’s plug in Jazz’s number.

10 + 0 + 2 = 12. 12 is Jazzi’s resolve.

Step #9 is finding Hit Points. Hit Points is the following math problem:

2 x (Fortitude + Presence + Will)+10 = Hit Points. Let’s plug in Jazz’s numbers.

2 x (5+0+2) + 10 = ?

2 x 7 + 10 = ?

14 + 10 = 24.

24 is Jazz’s Hit Points.

Step #9 is buying Feats. I’m going to buy the following for Jazz with the math business in brackets as usual:

  •  Brutal Intimation (6 - 1 = 5)

  •  Longshot (5 - 1 = 4)

  •  Untrackable (4 - 1 = 3)....

..Even if I have no points left for buying Feats, I think I'm done with Feats for Jazz.

Step #10 is Starting Equipment. The Game Master and I talk and we decide on the following equipment for Jazz: a dagger, a laser pistol, a credit card, & a motorcycle.

Step #11 is to pick up two Perks and two Flaws. I don’t have to do this one -- if I don’t want to. For Jazz’s Perks, I’m going with the following: “Ageless” & “Disease Immunity”. For Jazz’s Flaws, I’m going with the following: “Addiction (Soda Pop)” & “Brash”.

Step #12 is Appearance. I’m going with the following: “Jazz is a normal human woman with a purple mohawk and a cybernetic left arm usually dressed in a purple shirt, blue jeans, a pair of purple socks, and a pair of brown leather boots.”

...Jazz is done, below this paragraph is Jazz’s full stats.

Character Creation Business #20: Open Legends RPG

Open Legends is another generic universal RPG, but this one has it’s entire core rule book online for free for anyone to look into it at the following website: Open Legend RPG

Step #1 is to find a genre. I stuck to the classic genre you can find in any RPGs. Time to bring out Mythic. Question #1: Is the genre the following: “Cyberpunk”? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 91. Exceptional No. It’s our classic fantasy business, which you might find in playing “Dungeons & Dragons” or “Pathfinder”

Step #2 is to find the character’s name. Question #2: Is our character a female? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 20. Yes. Question #3: Is our character a normal human? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 100. Exceptional No. She is a mermaid named “Messila”

Step #3 is appearance. Question #4: Is Messila’s hair black? My View: 50/50. Mythic: 67. No.  Question #5: Blonde? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 92. Exceptional No. Her color is red. The following is what Messila appears like: “Messila is a mermaid with red hair, red eyes, and a red mermaid tail usually dressed in a red toga”.

Step #4 is two Exceptional Psychical Traits. For Messila, I went with the following: “A deep scar on Messila’s red tail” and “her hair looks like a bunch of messy mops.”

Step #5 is two Defining Social Traits. For Messila, I went with the following: “Very loud voice that would make a banshee green with envy” & “Whines about her tail.”

Step #6 is Secret. For Messila’s Secret, I went with the following:  “Messila is an alien from another planet.”

Step #7 is Attributes. The Attributes are the following: Agility, Fortitude, Might, Learning, Logic, Perception, Will, Deception, Persuasion, Presence, Alteration, Creation, Energy, Influence, Movement, Prescience, & Protection.  You get 40 Points but the highest I can go 5. There is a table for cost on Page 6 of the rulebook. I’m going with the following for Messila, with the math business in brackets as usual:

  • Agility: 1 (40 - 1 = 39)

  • Fortitude: 4 (39 - 10 = 29)

  • Might: 3 (29 - 6 = 23)

  • Learning: 2 (23 - 3 = 20)

  • Perception: 1 (20 - 1 = 29)

  • Will: 3 (29 - 6 = 13)

  • Deception: 4 (13 - 10 = 3)

  • Persuasion: 1 (3 - 1 = 2)

  • Presence: 1 (2 - 1 = 1)

And all the rest are at 0 which of course cost nothing.

Step #4 to add the Attributes dice to the Attributes that are over 0. They will be in the brackets that look like the following: (). You will find Messila’s Attributes Dice in her full stats.

Step #5 is to record defenses. Toughness is a math problem. 10 + Fortitude + Will  = Toughness. Let put Messila’s numbers into the math problem. 10 + 4 + 3 = 17. 17 is Messila’s Toughness. Next is Guard which is also a math problem. 10 + Agility + Might + Armor. Time to put Messila’s numbers into the math problem. 10 + 1 + 3 - 14 + 0 = 14. 14 is Messila’s Guard. Resolve is another math problem. 10 + Presence + Will. Time to bring Messila’s number into the math problem. 10 + 1 +3  = 14. So Messila’s Resolve equals 14.

Step #6 is to get the Hit Points -- which is the following  math problem: 2 * (Fortitude + Presence + Will) + 10 = Hit Points. Time to put Messila’s number into the math problem:

 2*(4+1+3)+10 = 26. So Messila have 26 Hit Points.

Step #7 is to get Speed. Right now, it’s the basic one: 30 feet.

Step #8 is to buy Feat. I get 6 Points for feet. The following is what I brought for Messila -- and  the math business in brackets as usual:

  • Battle Trace (6 - 3 = 3)

  • Brutal Intimidation (3 - 1 = 2)

  • Diehard (2 - 2 = 0)

Step #9 is Equipment. I will give Messila is the following equipment: a dagger.

Step #10 is Perks and Flaws. I can pick up to 2 Perks and 2 Flaws of Messila, though I can decide not to do this one. For Messila, I’m going with the “Ageless” & “Attractive” perks -- as for Messila’s flaws, they are the following: “Bloodlust” & “Disabled (no legs)

..And we are done here, full stats are below......
