ICONS RPG - Smith's Adversary: Minda

Time for that evil female  engineer, Smith, to get her hero.

Role Roll: 5 = Adversary.  That’s means follow the roles in the ICONS first edition rulebook.

Origin Roll: 7 = Birthright: The hero was born with or destined to develop superhuman powers. The character gains your choice of one additional power, which
should be innate, and not a device, or +2 to a rolled power level.

Attributes Rolls:
  • Prowess: 7 = 5
  • Coordination: 7 = 5
  • Strength: 5 = 4
  • Intellect: 8 = 5
  • Awareness: 7 = 5
  • Willpower: 7 = 5

Math time: 5 + 5 = 10. 5 + 5 + 5 = 15. 15 + 10 = 25 + 4 = 29. 29 > 20. It’s good.

4 = Powers.

Let’s find out what powers they are:

  • Power #1:  7 = Mental Type: 5 & 4 = Mind Shield. Power Level: 12 = 8.
  • Power #2:  11 = Sensory Type: 5 & 3 = Interface. Power Level: 11 = 7
  • Picked Power: Super-Speed.  Power Level: 5 = 4.

How many specialities? 7 = 2 Specialties. I’m going with Criminology and Leadership for the hero.

Appearance: Minda appears a small female humanoid with gray skin, green hair, and green eyes usually dressed in a green body-tight spacesuit.

Background: On early night in 1947, Minda’s spaceship crashed land outside of Roswell, Mexico. As usual, the United States of America’s army come to it. They were shock to the UFO -- so they took as much as they can.

Later that night, the United States of America’s army were shock to discovered that they was an intruder. That intruder was actual Minda. Minda had used her birthright powers of mind shield, interfacing with computers, and super-speed to come her. Impress the the military's high-up talk for her for weak. After that week was up -- the United States of Army announced that an alien did land on Earth -- giving Minda’s name to the press.

“The Roswell Alien” is Minda’s Quality. Challenges are “No Secret Identity” and “Loyal to the United States’s armed forces”.

I'M BACK....

Sorry for the long wait. I was recovering from a hospital stay. To make a long story, it's was  dead gallbladder that required surgery to get out of my body.

And I know I missed April Fool Day. I would have written a fictional series of one of my series -- but pretend it was a episode of another series. For a sample, I might write a "Alienformers" episode but pretend it was a "Ani-Bots" or "Transbots" episode.

The next ICONS hero will appear anywhere from tonight to Saturday morning....

Logging off,

ICONS RPG: Sigma-9’s Nemesis: Brainx

Time for that robot to get his hero. As usual, Sigma is an artificial character.

Role Roll: 7 = Nemesis: Do not roll the villain’s Origins. The villain has an Origin “opposite” to that of the hero on the Origin table: Trained = Unearthly, Transformed = Artificial, and Birthright = Gimmick and vice-versa. Generate the rest of the villain’s traits
the same as you would a hero.

What is Transformed bonus? One of the character’s abilities or powers (your choice) is increased by +2.

  • Attributes Rolls:
    • Prowess:  6 = 4
    • Coordination:  5 = 4
    • Strength: 7 = 5
    • Intellect: 12 = 8
    • Awareness: 3 = 2
    • Willpower: 11 = 7

Let’s do some math:

4 + 4 = 8
8 + 5 = 13
13 + 8 = 21
21 + 2 = 23
23 + 7 = 30
30 > 20.
Good.

# of Powers: 7 = That means Three Super-Powers

  • Power #1: Type of Power (9 = Offensive Type ):  What Power? (2 & 1 = Affliction); & Power Level: 6 = 4
  • Power #2: Type of Power (4 = Control Type): What Power? ( 2 & 1 = Element Control) & Power Level: 9 = 6
  • Power #3: Type of Power (4 = Control Type): What Power? (5 & 2 = Power Nullification). Power Level: 8 = 5.

Ok. I got to decide on what power or attributes gets upgrade

Roll
Trait
1
Prowess
2
Coordination
3
Strength
4
Intellect
5
Awareness
6
Willpower
7
Affliction
8
Element Control
9
Power Nullification

The roll is.........4, which is Intellect. 8 + 2 = 10. I got a Brainstorm of an idea: Brainix.

# of Specialities: 8 = 3 Specialties. I decide on Leadership, Business and Science (Biology)

Appearance: Brainix appears to a 1980-style cartoonish brain with green eyes.

Background: Dr. Gray was just normal everyday biologist. He was just playing around with some chemists that someone left behind. Ironically, he mixture these chemists together and actual become a large cartoon-ish brain that someone from the 1980 might have game up for animated series. Dr. Gray decide to fight crime -- learning that had got three powers: a toxic stink, the blood control and his spinal can stop other’s people powers. He decide to call himself, Brainix

HP: 7 + 5 = 12

SP: 6 - 2 = 4 - 3 = 1

Qualities are “The Fighting Brain” & “The Smartest Person on the Planet”

Challenges are “No Secret Identity” & “Has a ego”

ICONS RPGs - Serpent Sphinx's Opposite: Akita

Ok. Time time for that undying nutcase to get his hero. I’m going with Birthright. Here.

Role Roll:  8 = Opposite =  The villain has the same Origin as the hero. Do not roll the villain’s powers. Instead, assign the villain the same number of powers as the hero, but choose “opposing” powers. So if the hero has Elemental Control (Fire), for example, the villain could have Elemental Control (Cold) or (Water). The creating player gets to interpret “opposite” with the GM’s approval

Birthright Origin’s Bonus: The character gains your choice of one additional power, which should be innate, and not a device, or +2 to a rolled power level.

  • Prowess: 3 = 2
  • Coordination: 7 = 5
  • Strength: 5 = 4
  • Intellect: 10 = 6
  • Awareness: 11 =7
  • Willpower: 6 = 4

Ok. Let’s see if math gets me to 20 or above:

2 + 5 = 7
4 + 6 = 10
7 + 4 = 11
10 + 11 = 21
21 + 7 = 28
28 > 20.
GOOD!

How many Specialities: 3 = 1. I’m going with Power: Mind Shield. Before moving on

Stamina = 4 + 4 = 8
Determination Points: 6 - 4 (# of powers) = 2 - 1 (One attribute is above 6) = 1

Got a name: Akita.
