Character Creation Challenge 2023 = #33: Last Words

Even if my e-mail failed to get to Tardis Captain -- he posted the imagine for this year's Character Creation Challenge on his home page -- which is the following:

Speaking of business, he warn us that check around November of this year to see signs for the Character Creation Business 2024.

Character Creation Challenge 2023: #32 = "Behind the Scenes"

Time for some behind the scene facts for this year’s “Character Creation Business”. I wrote all of the characters from sometime in November to sometime in December or sometime in the first week of January -- I don’t when I finished things -- but I knew that was before January 31, 2023.  The first business I did -- was to ask Mythic a question -- but I forget it question -- but I know it’s one of two following possibles:

  • Possible Question #1: “Should I do the usual business for this year’s Character Creation Business?” -- and got a “Yes” from it.

  • Possible Question #2: “Should I do only characters for “Cartoon Action Hour”? -- and got a “No” from it.

Now it’s time for facts behind the characters:

#1 = Aelita (“Action System”): The name of the character was stolen from Aelita Schaeffer a.k.a Aeltia Stone from “Code Lyoko”

#2 = Annabelle (“Amazing Tales”)
#3 = Hellen Troy (“Awfully Cheerful Engine”)
#4 = Miss Fairy (“Biff! Bam! Kapow!”)

#5 = “Kossori Tenshi” (Big Eyes, Small Mouth” -- Fourth Edition)
#6 = “Diana” (“Cartoon Action Hour: Season #1”)
#7 = “Bolt” (“Cartoon Action Hour: Season #2”)

#8 = “Messila ‘Messy’ Marshmallow” (“Cartoon Action Hour: Season #3”)

#9 = “Chloe Cheesecake a.k.a Donna Drive” (“Dream Park”): In another thread on RPG.net focusing on Dream Park business, Moonhunter, an RPG.net poster, posted links for all three of my “Dream Park” characters I created for this business.

#10 = “Boss” (“Dungeons & Dragons” -- Fifth Edition): I created this character with help with D&D Beyond -- but this was long before the whole negative business with the OGL  leak -- I thought not to post this one -- but I did as I didn’t want to create another character.

#11 = Susan Show (Fate)

#12 = Antenna (Adamant Entertainment’s “ICONS: Superpowered Roleplaying”): This one was inspired by the rumors that Wolverine was going to be an actual wolverine and Spider-Woman was going to be an actual spider.

#13 = “Cassandra”  (“Ad Infimum Adventure's “ICONS: Superpowered Roleplaying Game”) = The usual of Lana Lang from the “Superman” comic books for this character was inspired by love of Superman and his family of characters from DC Comics.

#14 = “Princess Aelita”  (“RetroStar”): I had to do some edits here -- that's why the text looks so funny -- but not as the Blogger’s stretching my paragraph off the post. As usual, I stole the name of the character from Aelita Scheaffer a.k.a Aelita Stone from “Code Lyoko.”

#15 = “Hellen Smith” (“On The Air”):

#16 = ”Aelita Grindstone” (“Open Legend”): Like Character #1 and  Character #15, I stole this name from Aelita Scheaffer a.k.a Aelita Stone from “Code Lyoko”

#17 = “Engine” (“Capes, Cowl, and Villains Fowl”):

#18 = “Medusa a.k.a Francis Gordon” (“Sentinel Comics: The Roleplaying Game”): This one was written in December as I remarked as I picked Nature for Medusa’s Power Source.

#19 = “Aelita Anderson” (“Timewatch”) = Like Character #1, Character #15, & Character #16, I stole her first name from Aelita Scheaffer a.k.a Aelita Stone from “Code Lyoko.”

#20 = “Victoria Queen” (“It Come Form The Late, Late, Late, Late, Show”): The name of the character comes from switching the words in “Queen Victoria.”

#21 = “Medusa a.k.a Michelle Duzzazzi” (“Mutants and Masterminds” -- Third Edition): This one is more closely related to the mythology than Character #18.

#22 = “Eri” (“Faery Tales”): I think the name of this character comes from the Team Star member of the same name from the most recent Pokemon games: “Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet” as I was playing this game around the same time as I writing up the characters for this business.

#23 = “Jinx” (“Hero System” -- Sixth Edition)

#24 = Susan Spring (“Slasher Flick”): This character is linked to the character I created for this RPG for the Character Creation Business 2021 business -- Donna Winter.

#25 = “Princess Cassandra” (“Cyberpunk Red”)

#26 = “Victoria the Mermaid” (“Risus”)

#27 = “Ami Nea” (“TWERPS”)

#28 = “Betty Burger” (“GURPS” - 4th Edition - Lite Version)

#29 = “Angelica” (“The Supercrew”)

#30 = “Aelita Azzara” (“QAGS”): Like Character #1, Character #15, Character #16, & Character #19, I stole her first name from Aelita Scheaffer a.k.a Aelita Stone from “Code Lyoko.”

#31 = “Tanya” (Toon)

Character Creation Challenge 2023: #31 = “TOON"

Our last game for this business is the following: “TOON”. In the previous two Character Creations business, I created the following for this game: a bat-named Princess Cassandra (2021) & a shark named Keith (2022). This time, I’m going with classic business -- a cat.

Step #1 is the species. That is a cat.

Step #2 is to roll a d10 to get the four Attributes of this game. The four Attributes of this game are the following: Muscles, Zip, Smarts, and Chutzpah.  After rolling the d6 four times, I got the following: 5,4,4 5. The first 5 go to Muscles, the first 4 go to Zip, the second 4 go to Smarts, and the second 5 go to Chutzpah.

Step #3 is to find my Toon’s hit points. This is the dice roll of the d6 plus the number known as 6 equals my Toon’s hit points. This time the d6 gives the following number: 1. 1 + 6 = 7. 7 is the number of my Toon’s Hit Points.

Step #4 is the name. I’m going with Tanya.

Step #5 is Description a.k.a Appearance. I’m going with the following: “Tanya is a female cat with pink fur, red hair, and yellow eyes wearing a red toga and sandals.”

Step #6 is picking her Natural Enemies: I’m going with Dogs here.

Step #7 is Belief and Goals. To see what I pick you can check the full stats that I will show later on this blog page.

Step #8 is to pick Possession. Like the previous business, you will find out what I pick for this one once you get to the full stats later on this blog page.

Step #9 is to send 30 skill points on make for skills -- but since I did I pretty good roll, I’m not going to do that I will be putting the skills down in the full stats that appear later in this blog post

Step #10 is Shticks -- and I’m not in the mood to do that.

...And this ends this year’s Character Creation Challenge for 2023. Below this paragraph is Tanya’s full stats.

Character Creation Challenge 2023: #30 = “QAGS”

Our next game for this business is QAGS.

Step #1 is finding the concept. Since I did a superhero for the last business, I am going with go fantasy,  female elf wizard.

Step #2 is a name. I’m going with Aelita Azzara.

Step #3 is time to get the Yum Yum I need to buy stats for my PCs. I’m going 2,000 Points. The following are the three stats: Body, Brain, and Nerve. I start with Body -- and going to take 20 for that one. 2,000 - 20 = 1,980. I do 20 again for Brain. 1,980 - 20 = 1,960. The third verse is like the first verse -- as I’m taking 20 for Nerve as well. 1,960 - 20 = 1,940

Step #4 is her job -- which is a wizard. I’m going with 40 here -- and I need to times 40 by 2 to find out Yum Yum, I need to subject from 1,940 to buy 40 for Wizard’s number. 40 * 2 = 80. 1,940 - 80 = 1,860

Step #5 is her Gimmick which I’m going with the following: Arcane Lore.

Step #6 is Weakness. I’m going with the following: Huge Ego.

Step #7 is getting the numbers for the Gimmick and Weakness. I’m going to stick to the basic 10 for them.

Step #8 is Skill. This costs 3 Yum Yums for +1 and adds 1 per addition +1. The following are the skills that I give my Aelita with the math business in brackets as usual:

  • Acrobatics 1 (1,860 - 3 = 1,857)

  • Acting 1 (1,857 - 3 = 1,854)

  • Cooking 3 (Cost of 5. 1,854 - 5 = 1,849)

  • Disguise 1 (1,849 - 3 = 1,846)

  • Sewing 3 (Cost of 5. 1,846 - 5 = 1,841)

Step #8 is Health Points. That is equal to the Body stat. So Aelita’s total of health points is 20 because her Body stat is 20.

Step #9 is to place the leftover Yums Yums on the character sheet. That is 1,841 as that is how many Yum Yums I have left after buying the skills.

Step #10 is to pick an actor or actress to play the character. I’m going with Amy Jo Johnson a.k.a Kimberly Heart from “Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.”

Step #11 is a tagline. I’m going with  the following: “What mess did you get me into this time?”

And with that Aelita is finished -- Aelita’s full stat is waiting for you after this paragraph.

Character Creation Challenge 2023: #29 = “The Supercrew":

Our next game is The Supercrew. Step #1 is to roll the dice to figure out the three abilities. The dice here is the classic d6.  The following are the rolls I got for my PC:

  • Roll #1: 6 = Skill. I’m going with Acting

  • Roll #2: 2 = Superpower. I’m going with Shapeshifting.

  • Roll #3: 4 = Weapon. I’m going with a crossbow.

2 is going to the Shapeshifting. 1 is going with Acting -- as the PC may overact or underact when in disguise. 3 is Crossbow. I’m going with Angelica’s Crossbow.

Next, I need a name for my hero, I’m going with Angelica.

Now I need to draw Angelica -- and I can’t use crayons on my computer -- that’s so illogical that it would fry the CPU of Lt. Data of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” fame. But there is a program on the computer called “Paint” that I’m going to use to draw her -- you can find the drawing of Angelica in the full stats.

I have picked the tricks -- to see the tricks and their effect -- check out Angelica’s full stats below this paragraph.

=SUPER=

Name: Angelica

Drawing:

Abilities:

▢ 1 = Acting

▢ 2 = Shapeshifting

▢ 3 = Angelica’s Crossbow

Tricks:

▢ Crossbow Missiles: Change the roll to Effect 2

▢ Crazy Workable Excuse: Change One Die to a 5

▢ Sludge Change: Re-Roll the dice

Character Creation Challenge 2023: #28= “GURPS 4th Edition -- Lite Version”

The next one is classic -- with a twist. I’m using  4 Edition of “GURPS” but I’m using the lite version for this one.

Step #1 is talking to the fictional Game Master for the series to find out the genre since “GURPS” stands for “Generic Universal Role-Playing System.” After the talk, he is telling me that he is doing a modern-day high school drama set in the 1980s.

Step #2 is figuring out the points total for the PCs. Though average people are in the 25-50 point range in GURPS 4th -- Lite Version. Since the fictional Game Master remarked that drama can another word for “a soap opera” -- so he gives me and his other three players 100 Points for the character creation.

Step #3 is the four basic attributes for my PCs. Since 10 is a starting point for each basic attribute -- and cost or earn me nothing -- I will put 10 in each of the four basic attributes - which are the following: Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Health

Step #4 is Secondary characters. Hit Point is the first one of this one -- and that is equal to my Health -- so that is 10 as well. Will is next -- and is equal to Intelligence and that is 10 as well as the next one -- Perception. Fatigue Points is equal to Health -- so that is 10 as well. Basic Speed is a math problem -- which is the following: Basic Speed: Health + Dexterity/4. 10 + 10 = 20. 20/4 = 5. So my PC’s basic speed is 5. Dodge is Basic Speed + 3. 5 + 3 = 8. 8 is my PC’s speed. And the last business for this step is Damage Rating. After looking at the table in this section of the life version’s PDF. My PC gets the following for its Damage Rating: 1d-2/1d.

Step #4 is deciding on my character looking to the other people in the world of the fictional Game Master’s campaign -- and that is up to Mythic. Question #1: Average? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 30. Yes.

There are a few advantages -- and one disadvantage in this section about looks. Question #1: Does my PC has Charisma? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 65. No. Question #2: Obidious Personal Habits? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 68. No. Question #3: Voice? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 76. No.

The school is an ideal version of the American high school around the mid-1980s -- so everything in the Social Background is not used by the fictional Game Master - on the other hand -- since the 1980s was the time of greed -- take a look at John Bryne’s rewrite of Lex Luthor after “Crisis of Infinite Earths” -- Wealth is the only advantage/disadvantage in Wealth and Influence section in use in his campaign. I decide on the Average for my PC’s Wealth.

Now it’s time to do the Advantages -- and the following is what I brought for my PCs with the math business in brackets as usual:

  • Acute Senses 5 (5*2=10. 100 - 10 = 90.)

  • Ambidexterity (90 - 5 = 85)

  • Catfall (85 - 10 = 75)

The following is the Disadvantage for my PCs  -- with the math business in brackets as usual:

  • Bad Temper (75 + 10 = 85)

  • Gluttony (85 + 5 = 90)

  • Greed (90 + 15 = 105)

  • Impulsiveness (105 + 10 = 115)

I have no clue for quirks -- so I’m going on the skill business which uses the following table:

The following is the skills that I brought for my PCs with the math business in brackets.

  • Acrobatics 1 (115 - 8 = 107)

  • Acting 1 (107 - 4 = 103)

  • Carousing 1 (103 - 2 = 101)

  • Disguising 1 (101- 4 = 97)

  • Gambling 1 (97 - 4 = 93)

  • Shadowing 1 (93 - 4 = 89)

  • Writing 2 (89 - 8 = 81)

Now it’s time for a name -- which I’m going with Betty Burger -- and appearance for B.B. -- which I’m going with the following: “Betty Burger is a normal teenage girl with red hair and red eyes usually dressed in the following: a red turtleneck sweater, a pair of black slacks, a pair of red socks and a pair of black leather boots.”

...And with that, I call this business finished. The full stats of B.B. is waiting for you below this paragraph.
