In my last post, I told you that the next two games are the same: “ICONS”. I created a character for the Adamant Entertainment version of “ICONS” in that post. In this post, I am going to make a character for the Ad Infimum Adventures version of “ICONS”.
Step #1 is rolling a 2d6 for Origin. The 2d6 gives me the following number this time around is the following: 3. 3 means Trained. This is what Trained means to ICONS: “The hero is a highly skilled human; any “powers” actually come from superior training or specialized equipment. The character gains two additional specialties, and can choose to trade a power for two more specialties.”
Step #2 is to roll the six attributes which are still the following: Prowess, Coordination, Strength, Intellect, Awareness, and Willpower. The following is what number I got from my dice rolls for my PC:
Prowess’s Roll: 6 = 4
Coordination’s Roll: 8 = 5
Strength’s Roll: 8 = 5
Intellect’s Roll: 6 = 4
Awareness’s Roll: 6 = 4
Willpower’s Roll: 11 = 7.
Step #3 is to do the math -- as if my total is under 20 -- I have to do my PC.
4 (Prowess) + 5 (Coordination) = 9
9 + 5 (Strength) = 14
14 + 4 (Intellect) = 18
18 + 4 (Awareness) = 22
22 + 7 (Willpower) = 29.
29 > 20.
The stats are good.
Step #4 is finding the number of powers my PC has by rolling two d6s. 2d6 = 2. That 2 means I only get two powers for my PC.
Step #5 is finding the two Powers by doing three steps: Step #5A is rolling 2d6 to find the power category, Step #5B is to roll one d6 twice to find the power, Step #5C is find the Power Level by rolling 2d6. The following is what I roll by my PCs:
Power #1
Category: 12 = Sensory
Power: 3 & 5 = Precognition
Power Level: 5 = 4
Power #2:
Category: 3 = Mental
Power: 4 & 2 = Mind Control
Power Level: 11 = 7
Step #6 is the number of Specaliites plus the two for my origin being trained. The dice gives me the following number this time around after the two d6s stopped rolling: 9 = 3. 3 + 2 = 5. Step #7 is to pick my Specialties. I’m going with the following: Acrobatics, Leadership, Knowledge (History), Power (Mind Control), & Performer (Acting)
Step #8 is Stamina's business. That is Strength plus Willpower. 5 + 7 = 12
Step #9 is Determination Points. That is 6 miss the number of power plus the number of Attributes over 6. 6 - 2 (the number of powers): 4 - 1 (the Willpower attribute is over 7) = 3.
Step #10 is Background. For this one, “This one starts in a universe similar to the classic Silver Age Superboy comics of the Silver Age where Lois Lane never existed -- but Lana Lang still exist -- and was usually a pain in the next for Superboy -- and then Superman -- when she becomes the janitor for the office building next to the Daily Planet in hope of exposing Clark Kent as Superman -- much to Kal-El’s dismay.
Superman kept battling crimes and Lana Lang kept hopeful to prove Superman and marry him -- but one day -- a dimensional hurricane below them into the “ICONS” universe. Lena Lang disguised herself -- and got a bunch of Superman comics that would be a match for anything DC Comics was selling in our present-day world.
Reading the "Superman" comic nook, Lana learn that shew was actually Princess Cassandra of Troy. It turns out Cassandra worshiped Eris, the Greek Goddess of Willpower and Mystery more than other Gods. Not happy with things, Ares, the Greek God of War, gives power to one of the Gordon that were sisters to the late Medusa -- and the appearance of Eris -- to toss the Golden Apple of Discord at the wedding -- but Cassandra was present -- and warned Eris’s parents, Hades, the God of Earth and the King of Gods, and his wife, Persephone, the Goddess of Spring.
As thanks, Persephone gives Cassandra her ability to see into the future -- and she tried Paris from kidnapping Hellen after giving Aphrodite by pretending to be Hellen herself -- but speaking Chinese gave her away.
She decided to ask Eris for help when she spotted Ulysses building the Trojan War. Eris impressed by her -- tells her to walk as far as can -- then at a certain point, she will de-age her -- and send her through a time vortex Cassandra followed her orders -- then Eris turned her into a baby, and then the form of the Totem Supergirl -- and fly Cassandra to Smallville orphan -- about 1 year before baby Kal-El would have appeared -- and the baby Cassandra was adopted by the Langs.
Kal-El trained Lang Lang into using Cassandra’s Precogination - which evolved into Mind Control. After she trained, Kal-El tells her that he is leaving to find another universe without a Superman, Superboy, or Supergirl.
Lang Lang took up the name of Cassie Randall -- and got a job at a book publisher. Then after getting enough money for an apartment -- and clothing -- she brought a white toga and sandals to become Cassandra -- and started to fight crime”
Step #10 is the name -- which is “Cassandra”.
Step #11 is the Appearance, which is the following: “As Cassie Randal, she is an adult woman with red hair and red eyes usually dressed in any normal woman outfit. As Cassandra, she is an adult woman with red hair and red eyes usually dressed in a white toga and sandals.”
Step #12 is Qualities -- which are the following: “Secret Identity: Cassie Randall, an employee of a book publishing company”, “A Regular Normal Human”, & “Secret: Alternate Universe of Adult Silver Age Lana Lang.”
Below this paragraph is the full stats of Cassandra.
