Annabelle answered, "Guess."

Jazi replied, "Eris's apple?"

Annabelle said, "I don't know where she went off to after she started the Trojan War. Guess again."

Jazi asked, "The Magic Mirror shard?"

Annabelle replied, "Nope. I don't have bare feet to help me find a piece of that."

Jazi remarked, "So you going after the hair of the Bamboo Princess."

Annabelle nodded as she replied, "We all know the Bamboo Princess is on the Moon."

Jazi said, "Getting there is going to take you a long time -- Chanka could be ruling us the next time you see us.'

Annabelle said, "I have a feeling that's the reason for the three item business."

YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wondering about that big YES in the Blog Post's title section. Well the following release from Spectrum Games will reveal it.

=CAH:S3=

Spectrum Games is pleased to announce the release of Cartoon Action Hour: Season 3, the third edition of their Origins-nominated roleplaying game that emulates the 1980s action cartoons. CAH:S3 was funded through a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign last summer and the book features a 2-page preface by cartoon legend Flint Dille.

Cartoon Action Hour: Season 3 offers a sleek, fast-playing game system that benefits from dozens upon dozens of hours worth of research and analysis of the source material.

According to Spectrum president, Cynthia Celeste Miller, “Watching the cartoons from my youth for hours on end may sound like fun – and it was – but we had to work hard to take note of every little aspect, noticing common threads and clichés, and also studying the pace, content and style of the action sequences from all these different series. It was fun and illuminating, but also a great deal of work. While it’s true that we’ve done similar research for past editions of the game, we took it to a whole new level and we had access to even the most obscure series this time around. That makes a huge difference.”

Fans of Season 2 will find most of Season 3 to be familiar territory, though numerous changes have indeed been implemented to make the game sleeker and more streamlined than ever before. A game stat called Star Power has been added that encompasses many things, Factoids and Subplots from Season 2 have been consolidated into Qualities (and subsequently given new game mechanics), “combat” has been replaced by “action scenes”, character can now link their Traits together for added impact, character creation has been simplified (without losing any freedom) and have been rolled into the series creation process, all the various facets of the game (vehicles, transformation, gestalts) have been more fully integrated into the core game system and series creation is now a more structured aspect of the rules.

Says Miller, “We are absolutely confident that Cartoon Action Hour: Season 3 is the ultimate version of the game and if the response from our Kickstarter backers (who have seen an almost-finished version of the book) is any indication, I’m certain that the fans will agree.”

Cartoon Action Hour: Season 3 is now available in PDF format, with a print version tentatively slated for release in December.
