Greetings, Bloggers.

I am Dr. Thinker. "Flubs and Boons" is related to my favorite pen and paper RPG: "Cartoon Action Hour: Season Two". The following is about flubs and boons from the CAH:S2's rule book by Cythina Celeste Miller:

"Flubs: If you roll a natural 1 (i.e., the die actually lands on “1”) while you’re making
a check, a flub occurs. The action automatically fails and you may not alter it by spending Oomph (see page 57). The GM can also choose to make particularly bad or embarrassing happen when a character rolls a flub.

Boons: If you roll a natural 12 (i.e., the die actually lands on “12”) while you’re making a check, a boon occurs. When this happens, you may double the rating being used for this check result. For ratings of zero, simply add +1 to the result; and for negative ratings, add nothing. The GM can also choose to make something extremely good or beneficial happen when a character rolls a boon."

Beside CAH:S2, you may get stuff for ICONS, TZoZ, and other RPGs. You also get stuff not related to pen and paper role-playing game such as cartoons and movies.

I consider life is a roller coaster -- it as it's "boons" (ups) and "flubs" (downs), and that's why I call this live blog, "Flubs and Boons".....
