The steps hadn't change:
Here's a quick refresher course on the steps of ICONS Superhero creation: Origin, Attributes (Prowess, Coordination, Strength, Intellect, Awareness, and Willpower); Powers, Specialties, Stamina, Determination Points, Appearance, Background, and Challenges (now limited to three and more akin to the two types of Qualities from "Cartoon Action Hour: Season 3")
STEP #1: ORIGIN
Ok. Our first hero's origin is.....5 = Transformed. That's is kind of familiar territory for me. From the rule book, here's the scoop -- and I don't mean the ice cream kind: "The hero was a normal human but became superhuman through some outside agency, often an accident or experiment. One of the character’s abilities of your choice (attribute or power) is increased by +2 to a maximum of 10."
STEP #2: ATTRIBUTES:
Time to find out what the heroes has in Attributes:
- Prowess: 4
- Coordination: 5
- Strength: 5
- Intellect: 6
- Awareness: 4
- Willpower: 6
Ok. Got to add them and hope the total is over 20. 4 + 5 = 9 + 5 = 14 + 6 = 20 (We hit the mark, anything rest is icing on the cake!) + 4 = 24 + 6 = 30. Over 20 by 10. The hero's good.
STEP #3: Powers
Next how many powers....2 powers. Not good. Time to find out what powers my heroes got....
- 7 = Offensive Power. 4 & 4 = Energy Drain. Energy Drain. Power level: 4.
- 10 = Alteration Power: 1 & 3 = Alter Ego. Power Level: 6. That means I get to create another character...
AE's Origin: 6 = Transform (Same origin as the hero I'm working on), Attributes (Prowess: 4, Coordination: 6, Strength: 6, Intellect: 4, Awareness: 4, Willpower: 7), and he only gets ONE power. Let's find out what is it....5 = Control Power. 4 & 4 = Invisibility: 3. Not good. I'm starting to get a good idea for the hero.....
STEP #4: Specialties
Let's find out how many specialties the heroes has...5 = 2 specialties.
- 4 & 5 = Power.
- 1 & 1 = Aerial Combat
Ok. Let's take see how many specialties the Alter Ego has... 8 = 3 specialties
- 4 & 5 = Power. Re-roll. 2 & 6 = Linguistics
- 1 & 5 = Business
- 3 & 5 = Mental Resistance
Thinking of adding 2 to Invisibility for a 3 for that one.
STEP #5: Description
Appearance: Ayamaka is a youma (a Japanese monster) with black hair, green eyes, and dark pink skin wearing a brown toga and sandal. Syera Lyga, is a Japanese-American with green hair and black eye usually wearing a green t-shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers. Demgel is a pink-skin humanoid with green hair and green eyes dress in a purple toga and shoes
Origin: "Ayamka had a lot of bad luck in her life. In another universe far away from Syera's universe. Ayamaka was a warrior for Prince Endymion of the Earth. She heard rumors that Princess Beryl was plotting with an evil shadow monster rumor to called Queen Metallia by the Venusians including Sailor Venus -- and was playing on putting Princess Beryl down for good. She didn't expect that Beryl had control of Endymion's guardians: Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoyitice and Kunzite. She was transformed into one of Beryl's youma -- but she was planning on throwing a monkey wrench in Beryl's plan to conquer the Moon Kingdom -- but her bad luck come into play when Queen Serenity used the Ginzuishou to send everyone into the future. This put Ayamka's soul in her own sword. While Jadeite and Nephrite were working on getting energy in 1990's Tokyo and getting annoyed by Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars. Ayamka worked on getting herself out of the sword -- she come out of the sword just in time to see Nephrite.
For sometime, things were going slowly. Zoyitice send out monsters to attempt to kill a Sailor Senshi at least one month. Ayamka had a plan to leave -- and pretend to be a Sailor Earth who lost her transformation pen -- in order to help.
By the time she got to Tokyo she saw Mamoru and Usagi being taken by a red light orb. Using her invisibility power, she was able to get in the Tokyo Tower with no problem and to top -- in hopes of convincing the Sailor Senshi when she makes appearance to saw her. By the time that she got the top, Tuxedo Mask was injured and Sailor Moon was crying -- when summoned the eight major pieces of the Ginzuishou, turned Sailor Moon into Princess Serenity who which blasted everything with magic -- being one of the youngest youma ever -- she was blasted back into her sword and out of Sailor Moon's universe by the Ginzuishou
Time past, and Syera Lyga, a daughter of a superhero historian find the sword that Ayamka was kept in. Syera Lyga pull out the sword and she was transformed into Ayamka . Syera and Ayamka had metal talk.. and find out they had a lot in common -- and become Demgel (combination of the words "Demon" and "Angel") and find out that Ayamka's youma's energy drain has ended up in the sword. "
The game master looks over for a bit -- and adds flight to Ayamki's power at her coordination's power level and makes Ayamaka's specialties with a * on the full stats below.
STEP #6: Qualities
First Qualities is HALF HUMAN AND HALF YOUMA to cover Ayamki's youma and Syera's human merging into Demgel. Second Quality is "DAUGHTER OF SUPERHERO RESEARCHER" -- that means he/she could be a help or hinder in Syera/Ayamki's heroic business. "BAD LUCK ALWAYS EFFECT ME" - -covers Ayamka's history of bad luck.
STEP #7: Determination Points
EDIT: Time to find out who many Determination points.
Syera's DP = 6 - 2 Powers = 4
Ayamka's DP = 6 - 3 Powers = 3 - 1 Attributes over 6 = 2.
Syera's DP + Ayamka's DP = 4 + 2 = 6
STEP #8: Stamina
Since Syera and Ayamki, I'm looking for the highest strength and willpower of the two. And both are in Ayamki's attributes. 6 + 7 = 13
