ICONS RPG - Recluse’s Nemesis: Smartax

I told you I skipped two characters from the origin ICONS book. Yesterday, I took care of Pulsar. Today, I taking care of  Recluse, the human transformed into spider. As usual, Transformed his origin.

Roll Roll: 6 = Nemesis: Do not roll the villain’s Origins. The villain has an Origin “opposite” to

that of the hero on the Origin table: Trained = Unearthly, Transformed = Artificial,

and Birthright = Gimmick and vice-versa. Generate the rest of the villain’s traits

the same as you would a hero. Looks like another robot to create for me.

Bonus of the  Artificial Origin: The character is a robot or perhaps some other kind of construct, such as a golem. The character’s Strength is increased by +2 and you may

choose Life Support as a bonus power.

Attributes Rolls:

• Prowess: 6 = 4
• Coordination: 6 = 4
• Strength: 8 = 5
• Intellect: 9 = 6
• Awareness: 4 = 3
• Willpower: 5 = 4

Before we go add. Let’s add that + 2 to Strength for a 7. Let’s do some math.

4 + 4 = 8

7 + 6 = 13

3 + 4 = 7

7 + 8 = 15

15 + 13 = 28

28 > 20. We good to more on to powers.

# of powers? 5 = 3. 3 Powers.

Number of Specialties? 10 = 3. I decide the best three for this robots are Electronics, Computers and Mechanics. For the ray (I’m going with shrinking. Shrinking remind me of Brainiac from the Superman comics. Smartax, would be the name.

Appearance: When not using a illusion on himself, Smartax appears to humanized size gray robot with green optics wearing a white shirt, white shorts and white loafers.

Background: Smartax’s background is begins off with our old friend -- the fake superhero known as Diamond --  again. Diamond got a mystery disc from a mystery person that contained blueprints for a perfect A.I. to control a robot. Having perfect A.I, would make her the most powerful business in the world -- and of course, according to Diamond -- “fame is power!”.  She built a powerful robot that would be the test run for it. She was disappointed when found that it could only do three things: wall-crawling, shrinking things down, and create illusions. She attempt to have some of her villain cohort steal the robot durning transporting but they were stop by the teamwork of Eris, Princess Cassandra, and Metal Girl. Smartax in honor them work to fight crime.

Stamina: 7 + 4 = 11

Determination Points:  6 - 1 (for that Strength attribute that’s over 7) = 5 - 3 (For those powers) = 2.

Quality is: Well-known robotic superhero.

Challenges are: No secret identity & Built by Diamond
