Our next tabletop game is “James Bond 007 RPG”, where the tabletop roleplaying gamers can play in the world of “Bond....James Bond”.
Step #1 is to get Generation Points for my PC. Since I'm new to this game, I'm going with a Rookie. That gives me 3,000 Generation points for my PC.
Step #2 is to pick a gender. I’m going with a female here.
Step #3 is to pick up Height. I’m going with 6’2 for my PC. I need to subtract 30 from my Generation Points. 3,000-30=2,970. I have 2,970 left in my pool of Generation Points. My character gets 50 Fame Points for my PC.
Step #4 is Weight. I’m going with 150 pounds for my PCs. I need to subtract 120 from my Generation Points. 2,970-120=2,850. I get 10 more points for Fame. 50+10=60.
Step #5 is deciding the appearance of my PC...
...It’s time for some help from Mythic.
Question #1: Is the PC plain? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 89. No.
Question #2: Normal? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 86. No.
Question #3: Good Looking? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 45. Yes. That knocks 160 off my Generation Points. 2,850-160=2,690. Also, it also adds 10 to my Fame Points. 60+10=70.
Step #6 is buying the Attributes for my PC. The five Attributes in this game are the following: Strength, Dexterity, Willpower, Perception, & Intelligence. The cost of buying Attributes for this RPG is located on a table on Page 22 of the rulebook for this RPG. The following is what I’m buying for Anna Stania -- (Dr. Thinker dodges a liter bottle of Diet Cherry Coke thrown by someone who hates puns.)-- with the math business in the brackets as usual:
Strength of 6 (2,690-100=2,590)
Dexterity of 9 (2,590-400=2,190)
Willpower of 10 (2,190-500=1,690)
Perception of 8 (1,690-300=1,390)
Intelligence of 10 (1,390-500=890)
...Ok -- Step #10 is buying Skills. The first time is 100 per skill - and 20 for each level. The following is what I brought for Anna with the math business in brackets as usual:
Charisma 2 (890-100=790-40=750)
Disguise 3 (750-100=650-60=590)
Driving 4 (590-100=490-80=410)
Gambling 1 (410-100=310)
Hand-To Hand 2 (310-100=210-20=190)
Fire Combat 3 (190-100=90-60=30)...
...Guess I'm done with Anna’s skills. Step #7 is to subtract 40 Fame Points from Anna as she is a female. 70-40=30.
Step #8 is to get 0 Hero Points for Anna.
Step #9 is checking Speed. The following math problem is need as well as the table on page 23.: Perception+Dexterity=Speed. Time to plug in Anna’s numbers. 9+8=17. According to the former mention table, Anna’s Speed is a 2.
Step #10 is Hand-To-Hand. That is looking at the PC’s strength -- and look at the top table on page 24. According to the former mention table -- because Anna’s Strength is 6, the Hand-To-Hand rating is an A.
Step #11 is Stamina. Stamina uses the second table on Page 24 -- and it deals with the PC’s Willpower. According to that former mention table, because Anna’s Willpower is 10 -- her Stamina is 28.
Our next business is Step #12 which is figuring out Anna’s Running/Swimming Value by using her Willpower and the top table on Page 25. According to that former mention table, Anna's willpower is 10, her Running/Swimming Value is 25.
Step #13 is dealing with Carry business using the bottom table on Page 25 - and the PC’s Strength. According to that former mention table, Anna’s Strength is 6 -- so her Carrying Value is 101-150.
Step #14 is picking a gun for Anna. I’m going with a Walter PPK for a gun...
...And Anna Stania is finished -- below this paragraph is Anna’s full stats.
