Character Creation Business #17: Cartoon Action Hour Season Two

I’m jumping backward in alphabet and editions as the following character is “Cartoon Action Hour: Season 2”.

Step #1 is to figure out the genre. This is up to Mythic. I will stick to the 8 genres listed in the rule book on page 23 for “Cartoon Action Hour: Season 2”. Question #2: Fantasy? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 64. No. Question #3: Post-Apocalypse? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 94. Exceptional No. The genre of the cartoon is neither Post-Apocalypse or Military. Question #4: Science Fiction? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 5. Exceptional Yes. The character is a human-looking robot for a science fiction series called “Robot Force”

Step #2 is to find out the Proof of Purchase Points business. Question #5: Is it following basic business for a character in Season 2 of “Cartoon Action Hour”: 30 Points for characters, 4 for Regular Traits, 8 for Action Traits? My View: 50/50. Mythic View: 92. Exceptional No. It’s going with 40 POPPs, 6 for Regular Traits and 10 for Action Traits.

Step #3 is the Character’s name. I’m going to make my name from a real-life science fiction cartoon, “Code Lyoko”: Aelita Stone.

Step #4 is the Player’s Name. That’s me, Dr. Fowl Thinker 😉

Step #5 is the Series’s Name. That’s “Robot Force”.

Step #6 is Group Affiliation. That’s the group that is the hero team of the show. That going to be “Robot Force” as well.

Step #7 is Appearance. I’m going with the following: “Aelita is a female human-looking robot with purple skin, red hair, and yellow eyes usually dressed in a pink toga and sandals.”

Step #8 is Factoids. I’m going with the following: “Loves books” & “loves pranks”

Step #9 is Subplots. You can up to three Subplots. I’m going with Vow for Aelita. Vow: “Protect the United States of America from evil.”

Step #10 is Traits. Here is where the 40 POPPs come into play. The number of traits costs the number of points put in unless it’s 5 or up which means it costs 2 more. I have a notepad with costs for everything. A bonus is mostly +1 while a restriction is mostly -1 with a few expectations. The following is the traits business with math business in brackets as usual:

  • Clumsy 2x (40 + 2 = 50)

  • Robot Body 10 (50 - 16 = 34]

  • Smarts 6 (34 - 8 = 26)

  • Laser Rifle 7 [26 - 10 = 16]

    • Enchancer Bonus [16 - 1 = 15]

    • Accessory Bonus [15 + 1 = 16]

  • Strong 10 [16 - 16 = 0]

Step #11 is to figure out the Enhancer Bonus for the Laser Rifle. So it gets a fraction after diving a number, I roll it up. 7/2 = 3.5. So that means Enhancer Bonus a 4.

Step #12 is to get Aeltia’s Base Oomph. Since I don’t have any POPP left after getting the traits done, I’m going with the basic 2.

Step #12 is to get Aelita’s Threshold. That’s 8 + the PC’s Base Oomph. 8 + 2 = 10. So 10 is Aelita’s Threshold.

Step #13 is to get Aelita’s Battle Rating. It matches the highest trait that can use for attacking or defending. STRONG can be used for both and that’s 10. A 10 is Aelita’s Battle Rating....

...And we are done. Full stats are below as usual.....
